Rates are quoted in Canadian dollars and are subject to applicable taxes including the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) of 13%. Rates may change without notice.
The cottage and cabin price does not include linens and towels, firewood and boats – please bring your own or order it in advance with us.
To make a reservation a deposit of $100 or 25% (what is bigger) is required to book a cottage, the pay for the 1st night to book a cabin. A $25 administration fee applies to all refunds and refunds are issued only when cancellation notice is received at least 30 days in advance of the arrival date. The administration fee applies per cottage.
The outstanding balance is due and payable 7 days before arrival, the system charges the credit card you provided automatically. In the event of a “no-show” or when a booking is cancelled 7 days or less prior check-in date and the cottage cannot be re-booked, the full balance is non-refundable. There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
Vouchers and Gift Certificates
Sometimes we start special promo actions or issue vouchers and gift certificates. Please, request if we have any on-going specials. Vouchers and gift certificates could be used one per stay, cannot be combined or exchanged for money.
Maximum occupancy for the cottage is 4 people in 1bdr cottage and 6 people in 2bdr cottage.
Extra people are permitted in 1bdr cottages at a cost of $25 per person per night or $90 per person per week. No more than 6 people can stay in the cottage. Kids stay free if they do not require additional beds. If there are 6 adults in the cottage no more than 1 child 5 and under can stay in the cottage.
Check-in and checkout time
The check-in time at our resort is 4 p.m., and the checkout time is 12 p.m. To satisfy our clients, we can arrange early check-ins and late checkouts for small fee ($50 for either one) on the advanced arrangement if there are no guests before or after you. Although, during the summer months we are usually fully booked so we would ask you to follow the time guidance. If you arrive early or leave late without any arrangement, you might be charged.
At least one guest must be older than 19 years to rent a cottage with Goldenville. Goldenville reserves the right to ask for photo I.D. to verify the room occupants ages upon check-in.
No smoking is permitted in the cottages or on your deck or patio, but you may smoke outside on a distance from the cottage. Please, be responsible smoker, pick up cigarette butts, do not drop them on the ground. Smoking is not tolerated in public zones: beaches, game or dining hall, public washrooms.
Goldenville reserves the right to require a damage/cleaning deposit (20% of the cost of the cottage and $50 per cabin) or to reject a reservation or terminate a stay at its discretion, if a guest or group is disturbing others, shows little to no respect to our rules or causing damage to Goldenville property. The deposit is refundable if no extra cleaning is needed or no damage occurs. Please note that stains and fur on furniture, mattresses, duvets and pillows are considered as damage, and the deposit will not be refunded.
Group rentals must pay the deposit (20% of the cost), it is fully refunded if all members of the group show respect to all property (incl. cottages, outdoor furniture and equipment, game room and so on). We will appreciate if you do not toss small furniture, amenities and equipment around as it takes days to find everything and bring it back. If anything moved from one place to another, please, expect to be charged for extra hours our staff spends to bring everything back or even a replacement cost.
We assume that when leaving a cottage you leave it reasonably dirty. Please make sure all dishes are clean and that you have not left anything on the ground in front of the cottage (cigarettes, small garbage, bottle caps and etc.), there are no stains on walls after mosquitoes, and all garbage is moved to designated area (waste site). A $50 charge will be taken from the deposit for any extra cleaning that will be needed.
Our guests may invite a maximum of 2 visitors per day from 12 p.m. (noon) to 8 p.m., when advance notice is given. A charge of $10 per person per day will apply to any visitors beyond the maximum. Maximum is 6 people per cottage or 4 people per cabin in total, both guests who stay in the cottage/cabin and visitors (if there are 6 people staying in the cottage, we will charge any visiting person accordingly). Please note our other guests come first in regard to equipment and grounds usage and all visitors must comply with all rules and regulations of the property.
Our cottages are self-catered. We do our best to provide as much as possible for your comfortable stay. There are pillows and duvets, pots, pans, utensils, including BBQ, cutlery, cups and plates. We also provide coffee filters, first garbage bag and first rolls of toilet paper and paper towel, hand soap and dish soap enough for short stays. Please, bring your own personal items: toiletries, linen, towels. If you are coming for week long vacation, please, bring toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, shampoos and hand soap, garbage bags and bug repellents sufficient for your stay. Guests often forget to bring spices, salt, pepper and oil to cook. Please, note, with advanced notice we can provide you with needed supplies at additional cost including bed linen and towels ($20+tax for 2 people), small toiletries.
When you think about your stay in the cabin, this is a comfortable way of camping. You do not need to bring a tent and bed, but everything else is needed as if you are a camper. The cabin has no pillows, no duvet or comforter, there is only queen size mattress with mattress cover. Please bring bedding and linen (we can provide if ordered in advance – $30+tax for the set). There is no kitchen, no BBQ on site. Please, bring your camping gear to cook or you can always drive out and eat in town. It is not allowed to cook inside of the cabin.
You can order catering for your event or big party. The catering required advanced order (at least 3 days). The minimum order is $500.
Pets are allowed at designated cottages only (Cottages #1, 2, 3, 4, 7) and must be registered when reservations are made. We reserve the right to refuse all requests and please do not show up with pets that are not registered without advance confirmation. We expect you clean after your dog, like at any other public place. An extra pet fee of $10/day or $50/week and the refundable deposit of $50 are applies. The deposit will be refunded if there is no damage in the cottage, no fur and stains on the furniture, duvets and pillows and if there is nothing left after the pet on the ground.
Behavior at the resort
We expect from guests to show respect to each other, any disturbance for other guests will be a subject to terminate your stay at our resort. Please do not play your favorite music openly to other guests, as not all people can share your preferences and they might seek a quite and peaceful place, not a disco club. Quiet time is 10 p.m., please follow this timing and avoid loud discussions and laughs outside. No parties should be continued outside after this time. If you want to have a loud party and play your favorite music in open air, you should book the whole resort for your sole use, then there will not be any restrictions.
Fire pits and BBQs
No open fire is allowed during summer time. If no warning received, you can use an outdoor fireplace, provided with every cottage. No charcoal BBQs are allowed during the day time. We provide propane BBQs with every cottage, propane is provided with all regular-priced bookings (usually it is written in the Welcome e-mail that we send to guests before arrival with check-in instructions).
Force majeure events might include: unavoidable casualty, delays in delivery of materials, embargoes, government orders, acts of civil or military authorities, acts by common carriers, emergency conditions (including weather conditions) incompatible with safety or good quality workmanship, or any similar unforeseen event that renders performance commercially implausible, which are prohibiting or impeding Goldenville from performing its respective obligations and provide full service, could not be the reason for any refunds. So if, for example, a hurricane occurred that was a reason for prolonged outage, Goldenville would not be liable for not providing water or power into cottages/cabins.
